Acceptable Use Policy
This Policy sets out the content standards applicable to the Service. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
This document is currently under legal review and may be updated. Last updated: August 2026.
1.Scope and purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy governs User Content submitted to CommishCast and the Episodes generated from it. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service and applies to all users.
The Service produces competitive commentary about fantasy football performance. Content of that nature is expressly permitted. The prohibitions in section 3 are directed at content targeting a person’s identity or safety rather than their conduct in a fantasy league.
2.Permitted content
The following are permitted uses of the Service:
- competitive commentary, criticism and ridicule directed at fantasy performance
- criticism of a lineup, trade, waiver claim, draft selection or season record
- recurring jokes, nicknames and references to prior seasons or disputes within the league
- coarse humour between adult participants
- identifying a named league participant in connection with their conduct in the league
3.Prohibited content
The following are prohibited without exception, regardless of context or stated intent:
- slurs or pejoratives directed at race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation
- hate speech, or content attacking a person on the basis of membership of a protected class
- harassment, threats of violence, or content intended to intimidate a specific person
- content that sexualises a minor, in any form and to any degree
- disclosure of another person’s private information, including home address, telephone number, workplace or financial details
- content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that solicits or facilitates unlawful activity
- impersonation of another person, or content falsely attributed to them
- content infringing the intellectual property or privacy rights of a third party
4.Enforcement
User Content submitted to the Service — including commissioner notes, league insights, nicknames, picks, comments and predictions — is subject to automated content screening before it is stored. Content identified as breaching this Policy is rejected at submission and does not reach Episode generation.
Automated screening is not exhaustive and does not constitute a warranty that all prohibited content will be detected. We may also review, remove or decline to generate an Episode from any User Content at our discretion, and we are under no obligation to monitor.
5.Commissioner responsibility
A Commissioner determines what reaches Episode generation, including which notes to submit, which Member submissions to pass through, and whether to edit a generated script before recording. A Commissioner is accordingly responsible for User Content originating within their League.
A Commissioner who repeatedly submits or passes through prohibited content is in breach of this Policy irrespective of who authored it.
6.Reporting
Report content believed to breach this Policy through the contact form, identifying the League and the week concerned. All reports are reviewed.
7.Consequences of breach
For a first breach we will ordinarily issue a warning and remove the content. A repeated breach, or a failure to cease following a warning, may result in termination of the account.
Where a breach involves content concerning a minor, a credible threat, or targeted harassment, we may terminate immediately and without warning. Accounts terminated on those grounds are not refunded, and we will report the matter to law enforcement where required or appropriate.
See section 14 of the Terms of Service for the interaction between termination and billing.
